My vet said there was no problem with feeding my dogs fruit and veggies.
She thinks they got too much. She said to introduce new things slowly.

Well, I knew that, but they were begging so hard.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] So Sorry

So sorry to hear about your babies! Mine throw up occasionally and have
diarrhea occasionally too. My husband says it's due to giving them cheese
and he's probably right. They don't get much but occasionally ... yes. I
wouldn't think lettuce would do it, but fruit probably would. A lot of dog
foods these days have veggies in them and dogs ARE somewhat omnivorous --
unlike cats who must have high protein.

I wouldn't feel badly about giving them veggies and fruit, just keep the
fruit portion and DON'T FORGET GRAPES ARE POISONOUS TO DOGS.

Best wishes to you and your clan. :)
