I had another Toshiba before this one. It had major problems…well Geek Squad said it had many viruses – which they cleaned up for a fee, but it continued to have problems so I got a new laptop…just wasn’t smart enough to buy a different brand.
The Geek Squad online guy told me that a man he works with used to work for Toshiba and the BIOS and motherboard issues are a big problem. Yesterday it wouldn’t go to the OS for 15 or 20 minutes. Was online with Geek Squad last night and they are going to send me a box and they will fix/repair the motherboard…only 23 more days on the extended service agreement! So, then I will have to use my desktop computer for a week or two, but then I will essentially have a new computer. If they cannot fix/repair then they give me a voucher for Best Buy to put towards a new computer. They did that with my TV that broke just about two weeks before the extended warranty was over.
