Here are all the messages I have posted on the topic, please tell me where I have been rude and nasty! 1. Not starting anything, but just because they eat it doesn't mean it's good for them. All my dogs are feed 100% raw prey model diet. I can't even list all the benefits of switching. But they have been nothing short of amazing!!! 2. Some people believe they come from a fennec fox. Everything I read disproves this. Even if this were true the fennec fox is a carnivore not an omnivore. 3. I feed two dane's and a chi. For me it's cheaper than kibble. But I have good raw source. And wolves are not omnivores. I'm not being a pain. Just giving my opinion just as others do. 4. I hope your dogs get well. I am only expressing my opinion just as you express yours 5. It's a ratio thing for us. We feed 80% raw meat, 10% non weight bearing bone (e.g. No cow femurs, or any legs of ruminating animals because they can cause blockage and tooth breakage) 5% organ 5% liver Normally you feed a very large meaty bone that they can't possibly swallow whole and take it away when they have had enough. A dog can eat every part of a chicken....feathers, feet, head and most differently skin. But that being said to much skin can cause the runs....remember it's a ratio thing 6. At first I thought raw feeders were nuts!!! But now I am a total convert!!!. If you are still unsure lurk on the yahoo raw feeding group for awhile it's very informative! Even if it's an odd chicken bone now and again I think it's good to be informed By the way I go to a group of vets that are pro raw feeding! And know of others in my area. It's really not the absurd thing a lot seem to think it is. Most are just uniformed. 7. As a raw feeder, dogs aren't meant to eat fruits and veggies. You can give them a supplement called slippery elm that will help a lot
