Lynda - Were those kidney stones or bladder stones?  Do you know what type?  If
calcium oxalate, you can cook for your dog much cheaper than the RX food.
There is a canine kidney list on Yahoo - email me and I can give you a link -
with the diet and a lot of good support.

I absolutely will feed her the best I can afford - my pug mix is on a
prescription food due to bladder stones she had years ago - I'm not a total fan
of the ingredients - but the alternative is reoccuring
stones...surgery....etc...
My schnoodle is on a grain free food of chicken and sweet potatoe - doing well
on it...but may switch him to salmon at some point the more I read.
I have a great store near me 'Healthy Pet' - I'll drop in on her tonight and
see if any of th brands she carries happen to be on the list and do some
comparison shopping. I saw Fromm is on that list - I have heard many good
things about their cat food...
Again...many thanks...
Lynda
