Yep…they all have their own ideas. I have been the victim of numerous rear-end collisions. So I am very safety conscious. I have Dolly & Desi’s booster seat in the car; and I had to take Mandy to the vet. I don’t allow any dog in the front because I don’t want the airbag to deploy and injure them. So I put Mandy in the other side of the backseat and put a blanket on the seat first so that she wouldn’t slide when we turned a corner and then loosely put her leash around the seatbelt. The vet isn’t even two miles away. She was fine for most of the ride and then all of a sudden there was Mandy’s head peeking from the back in between the two front seats. I didn’t know where her car harness was. Well, then she licked her incision from where her dewclaws were removed and I had to take her to the vet again…so I did a few extra leash lengths around the seatbelt and we got there and back safely…and with Mandy still sitting on the back seat!
