My Pepper picks up and plays with stuffed toys that are half her size (she is about 6 1/2 pounds). I have also bought rope toys that have a head at one end and feet at the other, and once the feet and head disconnect from the rope (after weeks of tug-o-war with Rascal), I sew them shut and they have three toys. I have also found small fuzzy bones with an extra squeaker but I can not remember where I found them - it may have been at Walgreens. I have been thinking of making some tug toys out of denim material - it may hold up to Rocky better - in 6 months he has shredded many of the toys that had lasted Pepper and Rascal for years!
