I give treats...I buy some organic cookies at my feed store (cookies), And I
buy Zuke's at the pet store  - those are our 'Poop' cooki es and they come in
little bite size chewy pieces (a special treat for when everyone does their
business)  - perfect for those little mouths (altho I cut the bite size in half
for Charlotte).  Cheerios are a big fave in our house and has been for many
many years. They get a little treat after they've come in after pottying  (or
when Char goes on her puppy pad).  And it's so funny - she will run to her
puppy pad in the kitchen, go potty, and zip back out to wherever I am and put
her little paws up like 'mama I went can I have a cookie please can I huh'?

I do not give rawhide other than a thick compressed rawhide on rare occassions
(xmas, bdays, etc). Char gets to chew on that when I'm in the shower coz she
stays in the bathroom with me (I don't like to leave her alone unattended just
yet).  I used to buy a particular brand made in the USA but they stopped
making them  - and I haven't found an adequate replacement.  I also stopped
giving greenies about 7 years ago when Liza almost choked on one.

Charlotte loves the nylabones but I only buy the ones that are not 'edible'.

Working at my vet's office - I see so many 'accidents' with bones, rawhides,
pigs ears, .....so it's helped me learn about the pros and cons of various
chews.

Does anyone use compressed rawhide made in the USA?  If so - what brand?

No treats from China and most all are from China.
My dogs love Nylabones and I hve Kong balls and put some of their kibble in
there and let them get that out and eat and they get dog biscuits and that is
all. Usually just one treat a day. We have lots of toys to play with but
careful what kind I have. No rope toys.
I really want them safe. Most vets do not want them to have much treats or mine
don't--they say useless calories.

Dolly & Desi love the nylabones.  There are many variations and flavors now.
Dolly & Desi just get a few treats a day…and they are small.  I had the
everlasting treat balls which last very long, but really make them very
thirsty.  They guard those like gold.  I have to take them away and then only
give them to them when I can sit and watch and take them away when I think it
is time.

Hello every one. I am just wondering what everyone gives there fur babies for
chew treats.

With all the recalls and unsafe chicken jerky treats?

Mine use to love it. Most chicken treats are made in China?
