I haven’t been on my computer much...wish I could be...it relaxes me. New Years eve...our neighbor and friend passed away suddenly...the following week my cousin passed away...both were in their 50s...then...about a week and a half later...my daughter’s father in law passed away...my son in laws brother found him dead in his home....all very sad. Also back in Dec...the 3rd week...the company my husband works for starting messing up everyone’s checks. We were going to go Christmas shopping that week end because he had a lot of overtime and we figure his check REALLY good...well...they shorted him a few hundred dollars! Not just him...but a few other guys also...it’s STILL under investigation...plus they messed up every check but two since then...if that wasn’t bad enough...last week he had less than 25 hours...this weeks check is going to be worse yet...I’m sure it will get better! Then things got good again...we had an 80th birthday party for my mom!! It was so much fun! Everyone had a great time...and we got to see family members (my cousins...my parents nieces and nephews) that we haven’t seen for over 35 years! I grew up with most of them...they came in from out of town. My mom was so happy! The only bad things about that day...my cousins had to leave kind of early...and my sugar was through the roof! I was finishing up cooking and all of a sudden I got really weak...I took my sugar and it read 582!!! So I took it again and it was the same...so I had my husband go to my parents (next door) and get my dad’s monitor...yep...it was THAT high! So I finished what I was doing and we went to the hall. My sugar was still 551 when we got there. My sugar is always LOW...so this really through me for a loop. I didn’t eat anything....and it started to come down. It was in the 200 and 300 on Sun...Mon I got it down into the high 100s up to the high 200s...every day it would get lower and lower...I tried to get into my family doctor...but they said they didn’t have any appointments until NEXT week...so I called a specialist and I need my family doctor to refer me there...which he didn’t. Finally a nurse from my doctors office called and said that he wanted me to INCREASE my diabetic medicine...I yelled into the phone I’m not on any diabetic medicines! I’m thinking to myself....didn’t these people even look at my chart??? Then she laughed! I was so mad!! With all the diabetics in my family and as high as my numbers have been...it scares the crap out of me! He called in a prescription for Amaryl 4mg. I’m still changing doctors...I was in there last month for the vertigo and I told him I thought I might have a kidney infection or something...he had me point to where it hurt...then said it was a muscle...the reason I mentioned the infection is because a different nurse at my doctors office called me back and talked to me for a long time...she said that since the numbers shot up so high so fast...part of it might be stress or an infection.....by the way...I still have the stupid vertigo. I’m sure I’ll get through all of this....One more sad thing...I found out early this morning that my Aunt is in kidney failure...the doctors said there is nothing more they can do. She’s been a nursing home for a while now...she has several medical issues besides her kidneys...she’s 89...soon to be 90. On the bright side...my 3 cats who were sick...Kia...Ocie and Meeko are all fine now! Sorry this is so long...I really hope I can get back to commenting on different posts...I read them all...love the pictures...and see that we have some new members
