I am just thankful today that our furkids are happy and healthy. We had an incredibly busy day at the rescue my husband and I volunteer for. I think at least 5 went home today and others are pending. I was weary at the end of the day from answering questions and showing dogs to people that just wanted a "cute puppy" and were clueless about what that puppy would need as far as care. One man kept asking me if I thought the mixed breed puppies would grow up with skinny legs because he didn’t like dogs with skinny legs. I finally told he and his daughter or girlfriend that I didn’t think that they should get a dog until they thought through all it would entail. He was abusive toward his daughter/girlfriend while we watched so I'm not thinking he would have patience with a puppy. Good Grief! Thanks goodness we have as many wonderful adopters! One of our Chi's with some domination issues finally got adopted! Yeah! Sue
