I did some googling and there is even a site specific to Chihuahuas. I didn't know that lemon water can discourage barking?
Well, if you put a little bit of lemon juice in some water.probably do it more water than lemon. He is so tiny, so start low. Then if you can use the eyedropper or syringe to get a little in him. Word of warning. One time when Dolly was sick one of my friends told me to buy a vicks vaporizing thing that plugs into the wall outlet. I bought it, but then I waited so I could ask my vet. He said.never use one of those vaporizers around my Chihuahuas. It is only me and Dolly & Desi here.but just a word of wisdom if you have kids that need the Vicks vaporizing things.don't let your Chihuahuas..and maybe all your dogs, in the same room where the Vicks vapors are. If anyone knows for sure if lemon is OK for a small pup.please reply. I will try to research and post again. I know how hard that is when you have a cold. His little mouth keeps opening and closing like a little fish. The nose drops helped a little but can only give once a day.
