You are one special lady Pam.  Hope Tino feels better tomorrow!

Hugs,
Linda

Yes I can understand better the process now.  But, I also understand, money not
withstanding, the intense bonding, love, and gratification of caring myself for
this little soul.  I would have loved him from the rescue too as I love
animals, but this is a special bonding that I have never experienced before.
Yes I have always loved my animals, but this is so much more. It is like this
was what I was put here to do. And if this little guy lives 15 more years or 15
more days, I will not regret what I have done because I am the one who has
shown him there is unconditional love, caring, and safety in this world.

Wow!!! She shouldn't be a Vet with that attitude....bet she doesn't have a
problem with euthanizing animals....the sickie!! Careful, Pam, your Vet will
only defend his wife and it may cause issues! Why not get a copy of all the
test that have been done (ask the hubby-Vet) so you don't have to pay for them
again, and then try a different Vet?  I would!

Not to offend you and others, but now you can see why some rescues charge the
200-300 fee to pull/adopt a dog like Tino. It is cheaper through them and you
get a well dog and save yourself all the heartache of watching them trying to
recover.  I say that even though I know from my own personal experiences, that
there is no greater gratification then knowing that you pulled a shelter dog
and saved it's life, when a rescue couldn't pull that particular dog.

I think we are up to $500 now..lucky I got that care credit card lol.  He
coughed and hacked all afternoon and night last night.  So painful to watch.
Nobody slept.  So Vet again today.  Got another kind of antibiotic..nose drops,
Benedryl, Cough medicine..SHHHHHHHHH..all is quiet.  Please god I need some
sleep..

Good news and some not so good news..but not terrible.  Lost another 2 ozs when
he has been eating a lot.  Think still whipworm and hookworm issues.  Dewormed
him again..Fever gone but still so much congestion.  Did blood panel.  All good
but two issues which are understandable.  White count up from respiratory
infection obviously.  Slightly anemic which probably from severe flea
infestation and worms.

He did not want to eat hardly today..with the snot and all these meds..don't
blame him.  But did eat some chicken..little bit of dog food..and nutrical.
Hopefully better tomorrow.
Now I have a minor rant.  Didn't see my usual Vet, who owns the place with his
wife, also a vet.  Now I don't make appts with her cause I frankly don't like
her attitude..We have had run ins before but his Assoc was jammed up and he was
out of town.  So she walks into the examining room, looks at Tino and says
"Have you lost your mind?  Taking that on is crazy?" looking at him like he was
a piece of garbage someone needed to take out to the trash.  Now if didn't need
care so bad for Tino,  I would have bitch slapped her to Texas with that
elitist, callous holier than thou attitude.  Boy I was fuming.  And she
couldn't leave it alone..We discussed treatment and she goes to leave and has
to open her mouth again and say "I am sure you thought you were being nice, but
that was just plain crazy".  Next time I go in I am going to talk to her
husband, my usual go to Vet and tell him about the situation.  I can't be the
only one she has lost as a
 customer...grrrrrrrrrr...
