Try bag balm.  It has nothing harmful and has been used for treating cuts on 
cows udders for a hundred years.  I also use it on my feet to keep them soft 
like a babies bottom.

I'm not sure, but I would say maybe Neosporin would help keep it moist while it 
heals as well as provide antibacterial protection. You wouldn't want Gigi to 
lick it off though!
