Hi Ann. Dolly & Desi love me and anyone that comes to my house, and anyone
when they are on a walk, or if we go to visit one of my friends. Thinking
of how 'social' they are, I would think that socializing them with many
people - both inside your house and outside your house will make them happy
with anyone.but they do have the instincts to know if the person is not
good. Are the dogs puppies, or are they older? I wouldn't know how to
answer your question if they are older.it seems that sometimes hurts from a
certain sex, a certain color, etc. can make it hard to learn to be nice to
everyone in the household.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] How To Avoid "One Person Dog"

We are about to adopt a pair of sweet rescues Chis. If they are adopted
before we can finish the application process, we will still adopt at least
one dog, hopefully two. My question is this: my last Chi (a single pet)
became very attached to, and protective of, me. He did interact with other
family members, but it was clear that he was mine. How can this trait be
adjusted behaviorally so that all can enjoy the dog(s)? I was usually the
one to feed, was home more often, etc. Hope someone can give me some advice,
as I would like our next dog(s) to apprecite all their humans.

Thanks!

Ann
