Hi Everyone,
I have a 7 year old girl (Kiko)that is spoiled rotten and has ruled the house.
I have never had any problems with her nor have ever raised my voice to her.
I just adopted a 7 week old male puppy (Pawko). I am very careful to give Kiko
a lot of attention and pet her when I pet Pawko. Kiko was very protective of
the baby and also is bossing him around. Kiko has gotten more and more
agressive. NOW she goes after Pawko when he isn't doing anything and snaps
(bites at him). I have had to tell Kiko to back off or be gentle. Since Kiko
has NEVER been corrected before she
acts very hurt (feelings hurt) . Also, this is making Pawko very scared to do
anything, he runs and hides.
What do I do???
I give them each a treat and Kiko runs over and chases Pawko
away from his own treat and then takes both treats for herself.
I am at a loss of what to do.
I have thought of giving the puppy away but it appears they are really close
friends.
When they are separated the puppy whines and Kiko runs to him ?????????
If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it???????
