We had a Belgian Mallinois, at the beach we go to , a dog friendly beach. It was running after people, jumping on everyone-we told the owner to leash it and he said it was a therapy dog in training..yeah right..he had no papers, the dog was uncontrollable and the guy started cursing everyone out, a nut case. We also had a lovely Pit kill a small dog at the beach a few yrs ago-no provocation. all the kids played with this charming dog and then one day she just snapped. I don't trust anyone. I leash my dogs and when there is a big dog on the beach I put my guys o n our boat out of harms way. I cross the street when there e is a large dog coming our way, just to be safe. It's usually lousy owners, not bad dogs
