So sorry you're going through all this. These little guys are so delicate. My girlfriends Newfie became obstructed after swallowing a bath plug. She actually was allowed to sleep in his/near his cage (she is a nurse so maybe that's why). He recouped after a few complications and is now being feated on Animal Planet in the near future with this whole case of has being featured. He's a therapy dog. I had Dobies before I had Chi's. I had one emergency in 10 yrs with the Dobies. With my two Chi's it seems we're at the Vet at least every other month or more. I told my Vet I should have a wing named after them.
