On a news report, they said that when we use a cc, the average pump adds only 10 cents, across most states. They also said that most people don't read all of the prices when at the pump. They are not allowed to charge extra for using a cc, unless they have that additional price posted on the pump sign for the consumer to see. Some stations only posted the additional charge inside there office/store and got fined for not complying with the law.

Here on LI, NY it is running $4.50 to $5.25 per gallon, plus if you use your credit card, some are charging $1.00 to $2.00 more per gallon!! It's an outrage!! We have a couple of senators who are outrage for the extra cc charge and are trying to push to have a bill passed to put a ceiling on that charge.
