Aww Pam...I am soo sorry. How awful! I don't think I would ever get over
that either. Now I understand why you don't trust pits at all.  I sure hope

I also have been there..lost two beloved chis to a neighbor's pit..U never
get over the horror and the helplessness and the guilt.  And I too got a new
baby shortly after.  They make you laugh through the tears..

I am also so sorry your baby is gone. In 2007 all of my dogs (3) were
viciously murdered by a horrible owner's pit bulls. 

I cried so hard for days that I couldn't stop vomiting.

I believe, if I got all of the posts right, that you have a new baby.
There are so many babies who need people like you-like me. We love them so
deeply that the only possible cure for the pain of the loss is to grab and
love another baby instantly. 

That what my babies brought me. The gift of unconditional love that must be
fulfilled for both companions.
