My vet's office suggested trying a new product for fleas and ticks. It was
product that you put on the dog's back from head to tail. They said after you
put it on the dog, your dog's skin may quiver and this may go on for about 3
days. They suggested taking my dog for a walk right after applying the
medication.......
Well naturally, after hearing this, I started looking for a natural remedy for
controlling and repelling fleas and ticks.
I purchased a flea and tick spray by Veterinarian's Best. I found it at Petco.
It has clove extract, pepperment Oil as key ingredients. My Chi Liza does not
have fleas as yet so I treated with this. I gave her a bath first. This spray
smells wonderful, has a nice scent. Leaves the coat soft and shimmering. It
says repeat as needed. I plan on doing about once a week. It really helps with
her dry skin. The smell is a little strong at first but it dissipates more as
the dog dries. Nice thing is that it also repels fleas.
It is all natural and won't hurt the animal like harsh chemicals can. I have
used Vet's Best products before for the ears on my other dog I had and it
cleared up yeast infections completely.
I will not use harsh chemicals and so glad I found this product. Petco said it
is a very effective flea and tick control.
Hope this helps.
