Robert even if she and the cat weren't friends, and if she passed on it is
still possible that the cat, being a prey animal could very well have taken
her outside and buried her, especially if you have a cat door that she can
come and go through, that would only heighten the possibility that she could
have carried her out in the middle of the night and you would not have seen
her do it. For that matter if Jane-Jane knew that her time had come, she
could fit in a cat/doggie door.

I sure hope that your agony ends soon....somehow!

My bedroom is currently in shambles some people thinks she is here in my
bedroom. my sister came by and she tried to help me by again moving
furniture in the living room where Jane-Jane slept a lot on a cushion. we
moved the recliner and sofas she examined them and said she couldn't
possibly get under them. she came in here in my bedroom and said she
thought she smelled something. she had to go but did try to help, she did
ask me and mom "are you both sure you did not let her outside?" we both
said no. my sister just shook her head in confusion. yes we have a cat.but
Jane-Jane did not like cats they were not buddies. I just moved my heavy
dresser around but she couldn't get under or behind it. this is so
agonizing. I'm out of ideas my mom told my neighbor once her dying
Chihuahua came all the way down the road and was on our carport. but our
neighbor said she hasn't seen Jane-Jane. Robert

Robert this is so heartbreaking for you. I can understand you wanting some
closure. Since you mentioned that you have a cat, is it an indoor/outdoor
cat? If so, then someone would have had to let the cat out and Jane Jane
could have followed and wasn't noticed. If you have a cat door then isn't it
possible that she could have gotten out that way too? She looks so much
smaller then the average size cat, so is it possible that if she passed,
that the cat could have buried her outside, since they were buddies?

Umm, you also mentioned that you have a relative that lives next door...so
is it possible that she could have gone in their house and did they do a
thorough check too?

I am just trying to think of other possibilities since you have already
turned your house up side down searching for her, and I feel so bad for you!

I have a cat. she went with me searching the huge corn field. looking for a
small dog in that corn field is about like looking for a needle in a
haystack. I just can't give up yet. I may never give up.if I find her
alive by some miracle I'll keep a closer eye on her. if she's dead and if I
find her I'll bury her, grieve. cry a river of tears and then ponder on what
to do next. about getting another dog which it's really too soon to think
about now anyway. but I don't want to go the rest of my life wondering what
happened and how. Robert
