Rascal & Pepper are white with black faces, splotches and freckles. They love to lay in the sun unless it is too hot. I think they would enjoy 80 degrees. Rocky is a dark chocolate brown and he usually stays in the shade.
It is 106 right now, so they are all inside in the air conditioning (and we are, too!). The temp just hit 80 (unknown to me at the time) and full sun with a nice ocean breeze. It was gorgeous for me and Princess was handling okay, but within 15 min, Gigi got too hot so I stood her paws in a cup of cool water and wet down her belly, which she didn't like, and we left for home. Poor Princess wanted to stay as she was having a good time running with the other dogs, and you would think with all of that fur she would have felt the heat before Gigi did! What amazes me is that so many people say that their chis love to bask in the sun......so don't yours overheat when they do that? Gigi doesn't like to lay in the sun. Today it made her eyes tear too, something I have not seen before.
