Could be a change of diet, or worms, or both and stress due to the change of his environment. Was he tested for worms? 1/2 tsp of pure pumpkin from the can, 2x a day for a couple of days, will regulate a dog whether it is diarrhea or is constipated. Also, boiled chicken with cooked rice will help. Make sure he is drinking plenty of water, so he doesn't dehydrate. Pedialyte will help that. Nutra-Cal in the tube from bought from any Petshop, or on-line will prevent his sugar level from dropping, which can also cause diarrhea. It also will replace all the vitamins and minerals and electrolytes that he is loosing. If after doing the above and he still has it on the 3rd day, then he needs a vet to find out why.
If it were me, I would gate off an area, put down plenty of papers and give him his bed, water, and toys, until he is over it and housebroken. You can still have plenty of one on one time with him outside and for nice long walks and you could always put a chair next to the area so he is close, if that's what you want. Plus let him loose for some playtime and then back in his area when you can't watch him. It will also help to housebreak him. I watch him closely and I have to prepare to grab the mop from outside. my mom is really crabby over him messing and peeing the floor she s going to be 80 in a few months and I promised her I would clean up after him. my aunt gave us some training pads she puts down for her little poodle. I did take him out before it got dark this evening and he did wet on a tree. Robert
