Warwick house condemned; about 35 Chihuahuas removed Warwick house condemned; about 35 Chihuahuas removed Comments 40 | Recommend 2 July 17, 2012 5:20 pm By Donita Naylor WARWICK, R.I. -- Too many Chihuahuas in one house has resulted in their owner turning over nine dogs on Friday and 26 on Tuesday, agreeing to keep a male, a female and three puppies that are being weaned, Warwick Police Lt. Brad Connor said Tuesday. Because of conditions inside, the house at 128 John St. in Oakland Beach is being condemned and the human occupants will have to leave. The animals, which were all in good condition, are being housed at Warwick, Providence and East Providence animal control facilities, as well as by the Providence Animal Rescue League. So far, they are not available for adoption Connor said. WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - The Chihuahuas rescued from a Warwick home on Tuesday
are now up for adoption.
Warwick Animal Control is now accepting applications.
The canines will be examined, spayed or neutered, and given their shots if
needed, before they're placed in a new home.
35 canines were removed from the home on John St.
Still no word yet if the homeowners are going to face any charges.
