Pair of Basset Hounds stolen and found 5 yrs later, hundreds of miles from
home! Happy Endings!  I have seen so many stories like this. As long as the
dog is microchipped.....Don't ever give up if you have ever lost a cat or a
dog.

It's also a good reminder, to go on your microchip account page and make
sure your phone # and info is up to date. Some people still don't realize
that when they get a pet microchipped, the only info on that chip is from
the manufacture, or it may have the rescue number on it. You must put your
personal info on it, by going to the website from where you purchased the
chip.

There are also universal sites, where you can check to make sure it is
registered throughout  the US, and not just your state. I recheck the site
every year, just to make sure the info is still in the data base. And a good
thing I just did it, because one of the sites isn't available anymore! The
domain is up for sale.
