One thing I have heard is that unless you grind up raw bone into the food
you must add calcium in a different way. It can be ground egg shells,
powdered calcium or Tums. I have also read that Vitamin C is important to
add. Also make certain to use no added salt veggies. Please research the
proper amounts online.

I used to make food for our poodle mix. I would use 2 Lb ground Turkey,
1lb Ground Beef, boiled and strained. Add 2 c boiled rice, 1 can no salt
added veggies like spinich, 1 can pumpkin. Sometimes I would use sweet
potato instead of pumpkin. I would sprinkle on vitamin powder with
probiotics and calcium over each meal. Sometimes I would use different
ground meats like chicken or pork. Freeze it in Ziploc containers. Our
dogs do not digest cheeses very well.
