Rebecca what I would like to see is a week worths of a raw diet from scratch
I would like to see and understand the exact amount of food that is fed to
a chi. I don't understand the percentage bit, so giving the amount in
ounces and cups per pound of dog weight, makes it easier for me to
understand. I would also like to know what the percentage of protein and fat
is contained lets say in half a cup of a chopped up raw chicken breast.

Can you buy and give packaged meats from the super market just the way they
are? I have asked this question before about the raw bones and no one ever
seems to answer it. What type of raw bones and do you give, do you just give
a whole bone from the package or do you have to have it ground up and added
to the raw meat.? Do you grind up the raw meat, or just give it to them,
lets say like a small chicken breast, or a small pork chop, or a chunk of
raw steak?

Honestly raw is a thousand times easier than cooking food.

I found that interesting to. Maybe because not enough research has been put
into it to find wholesome balanced meals. You would think that someone would
jump on it since there has been so much talk about the food companies, and
not everyone can handle the raw diet.

I'm interested in a raw diet for my Chi but I think I will start with cooked
I'm not sure how to keep raw meat on hand without it going bad. I don't own
a car and don't get to the grocery more than once a week. I find it
interesting that vets believe in Raw diets. I haven't seen anything saying
vets are for cooked diets.

My Chi eats raw, 80% meat 10% bone raw only, never ever cooked bone, 5%
liver, 5% other organ. He has been raw fed for over a year and does
wonderful on it! No point in feeding plant matter to dogs, they cannot
digest it, it simply passes through and lays on your grass. My raw fed Danes
poo a tiny bit once a day, that's because they use what they eat. Even my
vets are now pro-raw 8)
