Mary, how were you so lucky to find them all under 5 lbs? Did they all come from the same breeder?
When I was searching to adopt a chi, they were very hard to find on LI. After months of searching and only finding 3 available, two were all tan DH and bigger then Gigi. One wanted absolutely no contact with people, not even with the family that owned her. She wasn't nasty, just preferred to be with the other chis that they had. I originally was looking for a 4 lb white LH, female, and I even had the name Gigi picked out as my first choice. Then, when I saw Gigi and that was her real name, I just knew that she was meant for us to be together. Gigi weighs 6 1/2 lbs. She was 5lbs 15 oz when I got her, but gained the extra weight after her spay and it won't come off. I think that it is very hard to find female LHs under 5 lbs. Several years ago, I looked for a tiny, white, little girl. Couldn't find one but founda precious little boy who stole my heart, he will be 4 years old in November, hard to believe.
