I've been trying to understand this controversial ban by the USDA on banning
dog breeding. Some say this ban would affect dog rescue groups because they
would not be able to advertise recused dogs on Petfinder or other means of the
internet. That would really affect rescues transporting dogs out of state to
find loving homes, like my "Liza". I just wonder if this is true.
I know the ASPCA says small home breeders could still raise some dogs with
limits to breeding females and so on. But PETA wants a total ban.
Just trying to find out the truth about this ban. I am not a fan of puppy mills
and I would think there would be a way to shut them down at least.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Margie, "Liza's" mom
