Very Good Morning,
What's-Up in Duncan, OK?

Got up at 3am...........it is a balmy 21F
We have decided it is time to leave the furnace on at night, set at 58F so the
house won't get
as cold at night. When I get up in the a.m. I turn the heat on in the sun room,
which is where
we spend all our time.

The house is a mess still, don't think I will ever get my Christmas decorations
all up.
I have the tree finished and working on my Village. It is laid out on top of
the spa.
I have piled boxes on it then covered it with white sheets. I am in the
progress of putting
all my blue & white mini lights on that. What a chore! They all have to be
pined in place....
which takes hours.
Yesterday I dug out the decoration I am putting all on the dinning rood table.
Yet another
place to decorate. Not having Christmas dinner at home so can make it *Purdy*!

The Chi's are having a ball with all the stuff around. So many new smells and
things to look over.
Only a few misshapes so far. Smudge has only chewed up 2 things. And Sam
decided that a green
wreath was like the bush in the back yard and pee'd on it. Cricket won't get
over 6inches from my
feet! Guess she is a little intimidated by everything that is going on. A
couple of days ago I fixed
the winter doggie bed in the sun room. 3 pillows covered with an old comforter.
I have a larger
space heater set-up in front of it ..........the dogs love their heater.

Setting here at the computer having my regular morning coffee. Nice large cup
with Hazelnut creamer.
The one vice I am allowing myself while on my diet. not to bad only 105cal. I
am having trouble getting
enough calories a day. I want to reach 1000cal a day. I have been hovering
around 600-750 which isn't
good.

Charles is making decorating hard. He keeps finding projects to do. One day he
insisted on cleaning the
car-port. Which i need to be there or 'all' my stuff would have made it's way
to the dump. When he go
t my decorations out of the shed her brought 3 large boxes into the house for
me to go through! What
does cleaning the shed have to do with getting ready for Christmas. The he tore
out some of the kitchen cabinets ....& he wants me there when he does stuff
like this.Yesterday he decided to clean out his desk
and file cabinet. Do you see a pattern here? I do! Don't think he really likes
putting up Christmas decorations.
next I expect to hear him mumbling 'Hum-Bug'.

The motor home is staying nice and snugly. I keep a space heater set-up in it
where things don't freeze up
on me. Still have to finish up cleaning it after Christmas. Then it has to be
taken in for repair.

Are you counting? We have 2 weeks. Yes 14 days left till Christmas. Are you all
ready or are you like me '''way''' behind? I have promised myself that as late
as I am getting everything done i am leaving everything in place through Feb.

Do you know what is going to be on the table for Christmas?
Here is an quick desert that Mom always loved. She called it the Cherry pink
Stuff.

Cherry-Pink-Stuff

1 can Comstock cherry pie filling
( I don't use the cheapo stuff because it doesn't have as many cherries in it)
1 can crushed pineapple well drained
( save the juice to go in the ham glaze or into a tall glass with added OJ and
7-up with a jigger of rum)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1-1/2 C coarse chopped pecans or walnuts
1 8oz tub cool whip

mix the 1st 3 ingredients well by hand in a large bowl, stir in the nuts. Then
flod in the cool whip.
If you want a darker red color add some red food coloring(I don't hence the
name *pink stuff*.

This is a pretty shade of pink so put it in a glass bowl.
This is great by itself or served with Angle Food cake.
It keeps forever in the frig.

Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah.............
