I understand what you are saying. Gracie gets her 3yr rabies and a 3 yr 
distemper/parainfluenza.  But, she has gotten an annual of bordetella last year 
and this year.  It was at my request, because I knew we were frequenting area 
with lots of dogs in the RV Parks.
