Well day three with Tabitha. I can certainly understand better now what the owner was trying to explain about her. She said Tabitha didn't like her and they never bonded. I think it is more about Tabitha's personality. She does not trust easily..very skittish..more her nature. And very much a loner. Doesn't mind the pack but makes no attempt to play or bond with them. In fact the owner says she has never played with toys even as a puppy. She tolerates me but makes no real effort to come to me for comfort or anything else. As of yet, you can't pick her up..unless you want to chase and corner her. She has bonded with my husband to a degree, probably to the most of her capability. She will come and sit on the arm of his chair and let him pet her but makes no effort to cuddle. Unfortunately he works a lot, and as her bonded person, she spends all day looking out the window waiting for him. Have my doubts this is the household for her, but we are still discussing (arguing) about that.
