We lost are Beagle to prostate enlargement, by the time he acted sick his
kidneys shut down due to infection from backed up urine. He had to be
euthanized at only 8. One of my g/f's family lost their 12 yr old Mini
Schnauzer and his 10 yrs old son in the same month from the same reason. My
show dogs are neutered by 6 yrs old after I am done showing and titling them in
the breed ring.
