I live in a suburb of Phoenix, AZ. We hit 115+ in the summer. For walking on the street or sidewalk, if the surface is too hot for my bare feet, it is too hot to walk the dogs (since they have bare feet). If it was a park with grass it would be better and you could all withstand a warmer air temp. Stay hydrated. I generally do not walk when it is over 90 degrees.

I am wondering what to feed her, how much to feed her, and how this breed handles the heat for brief walks for exercise. I want to keep her fit and healthy, as she is now, but want to be careful too. So much conflicting info on internet sites. Wanted to hear from some 'professional' Chi parents. Thanks for any info. Lyn
