Hello, I got this in my email today. I put in the name of Dolly’s breeder and there were two inspections by the USDA – one was perfect and one had 2 indirect non-compliance issues in 2011. Their certificate was cancelled in March 2012 – can’t find a reason though. Dolly was born in May of 2008 – maybe the inspections don’t go back that far. Desi’s breeder isn’t on here – and that does not surprise me in the least.
I have two dogs that have problems most likely from bad breeding…they were already born and I was drawn to them…not sure if it was because they needed me, but we are a pack and I keep them, love them, and make sure that they get all the extra medical help that they need. I shudder to think what would have happened to them if I didn’t ‘adopt’ them. I think that many owners would not want to put up with the extra attention that they need and they may have been sent to a shelter and euthanized. I know that some members of the group may look down on me because I didn’t get them at a shelter…but those that have got your dogs from the shelter probably also have dogs from back yard breeders and puppy mills…they are born, they need a home. I had personal reasons why I got mine where I did, and I probably wouldn’t go that route again, but they are here, and they are mine, and they fit into what I need to be able to take care of them – and them to be adapted to me and my needs from the start.
