I haven't really had any problems with all of my rescues from genetic problems
but one foster. Monte had a broken pelvis well before I adopted him but has
little residual problems, sometimes a hitch in his leg and his penis doesn't
full retract which is more cosmetic then a problem. One of my MinPins had one
bad knee but that was from being crated 23 hours a day and spinning. None of my
other rescued MinPins or Chis have had bad patellas but the one, Pixie. Pixie,
the one foster tiny 5lb BYB MinPin who had been BRED and had a trachea problem
had bad patellas. One well bred Rott had bad hips but his sire, although a
multi Best in Show winner threw horrible hips in most of his pups. My other
Rott and many GSDs were all fine, they were all x-rayed and one OFA'd since he
was so beautiful, great temperament and well bred I considered breeding him. I
never did tho, neutered him after he had titles and was 6. I didn't advertise
him and the females with local owners we ran into at classes etc who wanted to
use him were not OFA'd.
