There is no way to know what genes she inherited from her relatives. Just
because one parent was a Chi and the other a Dach doesn't mean she is 50/50.
Just as people's kids are not 50/50. She could have 90% Chi genes and 10% dach
genes or any variation. Obviously her parents were not chosen for their great
bloodlines so any or no defects can show up. Alice and Monte are from diff BYB,
Alice has the proper head and better body type but has a French front. Monte is
the incorrect "deer head" but his front and rear are better. It is a good idea
for any toy breed or longer bodied breed to use doggy stairs to get on and off
the couch and bed. I have stairs in both places. Even a well bred sound built
dog will suffer from hopping off the couch in their senior years, the constant
landings take their toll.
