Hope you kept the big white thing and put it into a plastic bag for the vet
to analyze. Hopefully it was only a string from her toy, which makes me
wonder is it possible that is what she choked on the other night and not her
food?

Sadly where I live the shelter here is the worst of the worst. They are
merely a step above the conditions of the best puppy mill. They do not
vaccinate, deworm, nothing. They clean the cages and feed and water the
animals. Rumor has it they don't do it on the weeikends though so animals go
hungry all weekend? Not sure if that is true but that is what I've heard
alot about. It's also only open for people living insite the city limits.
That is why sooooo many dogs get dumped outside the city limits, in the
county, on the interstates. It is just so dang sad. The adoption fees do not
exceed 10.00 for dog or puppy and 5.00 for cats or kittens. The person we
got our chi from was very responsible. She may not be a 'breeder' but she
did know what not to do.

Hopefully we can get the pup in today. She did great overnight. Did not poop
in her crate, only pottied and when she did poop this morning it was not
runny but there was a big white thing that did come out.

heartworms, give flea and heartworm meds, vaccinate and sterilize. Great
deal for $50-$100 and often shelters have free days where the critter is
done with no adoption fee.

cat and I have never seen a flea on this pup. The lady we got the pup from
was a freak about fleas. I saw her pull a flea off the pup one time before
we got the puppy. Maybe she got the flea from her. Either way, the puppy
just pooped again, this time is was very light in color and another white
thing was sticking out of her butt.

California. I have never ever seen sooo many dogs or puppies with worms or
coccidia or giardia or any other weird ailment so much as I have dealt with
here in Southeast Missouri. Conincidence? Not sure but it drives me crazy. I
really thought getting a puppy from a home raised by a family was so much
better than one from the pound. Our pound is awful and terrible. They offer
shelter and food..that is it..nothing else. No care of any kind. Sad.
