Is the pee pad left down all the time? If a young pup the pee pad should be
readily accessable not down the hall thru the door. You put her there, does
that mean you carried her? If so she may not know how to get there by herself.
Walk her on a leash to her potty spot. Feeding a pup makes them potty so make
sure you walk her to her spot after meals, naps and playtime.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] seperation anxiety possibilities???

OK just throwing this out there.
I realized this morning that I have potty training issues with Piper. OK not
that I am having issues
potty training her but perhaps WHY there are issues.

I noticed that when I put her  near the wee wee pad in the morning when I know
she has to pee, she
runs a lap, goes to the wee week pad and then uses it.

This morning when I put her by the wee wee pad, she pooped right away. I
praised her, cleaned it up and
went into the kitchen to start breakfast. I noticed she followed me and then
peed on the kitchen floor.
I also noticed that after I gave her breakfast, she followed me into the living
room to poop.

Is it possible she wont eliminate without being in the same room with me? Could
she have a minor form of separation
anxiety. Or is this just a doggie potty training situation.?

Thanks
Janine
