Hi.
I am designing a system in which I have to control
DC series motors. How can I implement a short circuit protection for the motors
using a microcontroller? At the moment, the controller is controlling
the generating the Pulse Width Modulation drive signal. So I am figuring
that if i can detect a current beyond a certain value, I just stop the drive
signal.
I would appreciate any help in measuring the
current to the motors and any other method to implement a short circuit
protection.
