I don't know how much access to different operating system you have but
there is a utility called "wget" under Linux that would transfer multiple
files in one go for you. The same kind of programs are available under
Windows but I don't know their names... Anyone have any recommendations for
an FTP program to transfer multiple files via a click and drag interface
under Windows?

Using the built in FTP program in windows there is also the "mget" command
to get multiple files which may or may not help...

Failing that, there must be some sites still selling Slackware 4.0 disks...
