Thanks for the replies lads. This is good. To those who defended outlook - I'm not trying to start a flame war, so I will not pass (er, I mean express) opinions on outlook. If you care to search the archives, you will find Bruce Bergman's comments on how difficult it makes life for him. There is such a thing as preference. I prefer not to use m$ products, or Intel products, because both are monopolies which have abused their position. With m$ in particular, I prefer to believe their products to be inferior in the main. I will not forgive Intel for that MMX stunt quickly either (Obsoleting their own products without warning). I therefore use amd, and linux where possible. I will not be told to use m$word, and return m$ word docs e-mailed to me as unreadable. The gnome and outlookalike program (Ximian) will not do much for me either. the last thing I want is outlookalike. I am currently building a linux system (e-mail and a few fancies to add) from linuxfromscratch, http://www.linuxfromscratch.org and have decided against gnome, and kde, because nobody in either camp was ever told to stop writing code, and they're bloating out of control. There are numerous economically coded console and X based programs out there to do nearly anything I want. -- Regards, Declan Moriarty Applied Researches - Ireland's Foremost Electronic Hardware Genius A Slightly Serious(TM) Company Experience is like a comb, that Life gives you - AFTER all your hair has fallen out! -- Author: Declan Moriarty INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- 858-538-5051 http://www.fatcity.com San Diego, California -- Mailing list and web hosting services --------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB CHIPDIR-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
