You might contact mr. Stefan Kaechele (www.palmzip.de). He works with 
Atari PortFolio's. An Atari Portfolio has a 128 x 64 LCD screen. One of
the add-ons he sells is a backlight unit + power converter for it. He 
might be willing to point you to het guy who designed that thing...
