Any way to catch or log a reboot signal?

I'm getting the very occasional reboot when I try to start a large program.
My '80s version of design cad would do it reliably with no upper memory in
use. This happened 'coz I can't write protect config.sys from my kids :-(
BTW, it will run on 640k happily enough.

Linux did it today starting X. Went in a second time and it was fine.
Memtest86 checked out OK on the memory. Can I trap that reboot signal somehow
and see where it came from?
