Hi Chipdir members! I was trying to figure out how to make a 8051 multiprocessor communication. Basically, for varibale baud rate, there are 2 different communication modes: Mode 1: 8-bit UART, and Mode 3: 9-bit UART. As far I know the Mode 3 is the mode specially intended for multiprocessor communication, but it is a 9-bit UART. Becuase of I want it to communicate with a regular PC UART (which is 8-bit UART) I would like to use Mode 1 instead.
What could be wrong in use Mode 1 instead Mode 3 for multiprocessor communication? Thanks, Eduardo. __________________________________________________________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available.
