Well I dissected the unit full out the
transformer,supply its primary with 120VAC and found
out that its secondary to be 22VAC center tapped
(11-0-11)VAC unloaded.
So what I did is to wind a transformer with 230 VAC
input and 22VAC, center tapped output,using a magnet
slightly bigger than the original design.
Now connected to 2 12 Volts 150 Amp/Hour battery,it
powers my computer,21" colored TV, the device is
working perfectly.

What a great American design!
