Some ADuC8xx has 62k flash rom and 2k ram, which I think would be enough for handling tremendous amount of redundant blocks data in TEDS (transducer electronic data sheet). Another advantage of ADuC is it consist everything for pressure, temperature or similar differential-voltage output sensor to become decent transducer. And finally, favorate communication for IEE1451 transducers is TCP/IP.
