I just had the jaccuzzi pcb fixed, and was getting back to standard
repairs when I got in (Very poorly designed) inverters for driving
electro luminescent displays in the form of mats.
These mats are a new application for electro luminescence. The mat I
have is 24"x16" (~600mm x 410mm), a 'pink panther type' pink, and glows
when driven by the inverter which gives out 100-200V at around 500Hz.
The mats seem good, the inverters are a design disaster and have to go.
I'd like to be able to get something locally to drive the mats. A
variable source is essential as the brightness settings vary drastically
depending on the application.
Anyone got a link or a pdf on this technology? Anyone know what it needs
to be driven with?
