Dear Alois,

Thank you for this information.

Could you tell me where I can obtain this standard from please?

I found a British Standards equivalent which is:

BS EN 60073:2002 Basic and safety principles for
man-machine interface, marking and identification.
(Coding principles for indicators and actuators)

Kind regards,
Darren Logan BSc(Hons)

hello

from my old "Tabellenbuch Elektrotechnik Elektronik", Friedrich, Dmmler
verlag,
Bonn from 1986:
DIN IEC 73 defines meaning of colors of lamps (Leuchtmelder) and push
buttons
e.g.
red lamp: danger or alarm
red button: action in case of danger; stop.
ye lamp: attention
...

> I don't suppose anyone knows of any European standards for LED colours
(for
> example a power LED) ?
>
> And the colour for danger, start, stop etc?
>
> (Assuming such standards do exist?)
