I'm looking for the makers of "Chiptool" ZIF sockets for PLCC packages. My universal programmer has a PLCC44 ZIF socket with a clamshell, which looks pretty much like the Yamaichi type, but the print on it is "Chiptool PL44-010". The reason why I'm looking for an alternative supplier is price: Yamaichi is way too expensive for a small quantity production of a few hundred pieces.
