When DalSemi merged with Maxim a while back there was probably some
inevitable "streamlining" of the product lines of the two companies.
I think that you would be wise to contact Maxim directly, by phone, and
discuss your needs with a product specialist.
What kind of chip is this?
What is your criteria for "doing better".
